ABOUT

Ms. Tweedy attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and received her Juris Doctorate in 1981. While attending law school, Ms. Tweedy was employed as a law clerk for a business litigator then for a general civil litigation firm, handling products cases and catastrophic injury claims.

Ms. Tweedy was admitted to the Bar in 1981, and, for the past 25 years, she has been engaged in the practice of civil litigation in Sacramento, California with an emphasis in medical malpractice, personal injury and employment disputes. Ms. Tweedy is a partner in the law firm of Schuering Zimmerman Scully Tweedy & Doyle, LLP and is an AV rated lawyer. The firm’s clientele is physicians, hospitals, private businesses, individuals and attorneys from the Northern California area. Ms. Tweedy frequently serves as a Judge Pro Tem in the Sacramento County Superior Court and the El Dorado County Superior Court.

Ms. Tweedy is a highly experienced negotiator. She is well-known for her civility and high moral and ethical standards. It is because of these standards that she has been chosen to serve as a neutral mediator and arbitrator on hundreds of cases.

Ms. Tweedy attended the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and received extensive training in the mediation process.

Ms. Tweedy is admitted to practice law in all the courts of the State of California, in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the United States Supreme Court.

Ms. Tweedy is a member of the California State Bar Association, litigation section. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, Dispute Resolution Section and Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section. Ms. Tweedy is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is a member of the Anthony M. Kennedy McGeorge School of Law Inn of Court. Ms. Tweedy is a past president of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada. Ms. Tweedy is a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution.

Ms. Tweedy is on the panel of neutral arbitrators for the Office of Independent Administrator, Northern California, Kaiser Permanente.
